Published 2005. Intermediate to Advanced.
English in Medicine is a course for doctors, medical students and other medical professionals who have to communicate with patients and their relatives and
with medical colleagues. Each of the seven units focuses on one area of doctor-patient communication, from history taking and examination to diagnosis and
treatment. The course does not require specialist knowledge of medicine on the part of the teacher. It develops all four skills - speaking, listening,
reading and writing - and there is a wide variety of activities to engage the learner.
The Third Edition has been updated to take account of developments in medicine and the impact of new information technology. It is also now in full colour.
