Headway Academic Skills 2: Reading & Writing Student's Book

Published 2011 The Headway Academic Skills student's book can be used with the general English coursebook or on its own, so it offers a great deal of flexibility for learning.

This series of English language books has been designed to focus on academic learning, improving skills across reading, writing, listening and speaking. To do this, the book includes a wide range of more formal topics that are particularly appropriate for higher education.

Students are guided through certain key research tasks, but are also encouraged to work independently with a series of less directed tasks. There are tips and advice for helping students get to grips with academic vocabulary so that their formal language skills develop naturally: for example, they are encouraged to record themselves to improve English pronunciation.

The Teacher's Guides offer a range of new worksheets that can be photocopied to use in lessons.
