This volume is part of a series of four volumes devoted to literary phenomena of the period of the Enlightenment to the advent of the Romantic movement. Subsequent volumes will cover prose and drama. Are presented here in verse genres, particularly in light of the major changes that have prepared the revival and development of lyric poetry in European Romanticism. Into a few large sections synthetic, the first part gives an overview of all phenomena marking European literature, while the second looks at the kinds of worms in different geographical regions or linguistic areas. The literary evolution which took place at the time in both America and Europe are analyzed in this volume under the aspect of the development of verse forms, with a wealth of new details and angles particularly original.
