This grammar of Modern Eastern Armenian focuses on a precise, concise and explicit description of Eastern Armenian language in the Republic of Armenia, taking into consideration not only the normative tradition, but, most importantly and innovatively, giving also a description of the colloquial language as actually in use in Armenia today. This grammar meets the demands of modern general linguistics and typology regarding methodological approach and terminology. The grammar is of interest not only to a specialised readership of descriptive or comparative linguists, typologists and armenologists, but to all those who would like to get acquainted with linguistic data of the living Armenian language collected in a scholarly, responsible way. It will also be useful to students learning Modern Eastern Armenian and as a concise teaching aid for lecturers of Modern Eastern Armenian language courses
